The holiday season just got a little more magical for fans of the Sussexes.
Meghan Markle, 44, has unveiled a glittering new trailer for her Christmas special of With Love, Meghan, giving viewers a cozy peek into how she, Prince Harry, and their children celebrate the holidays.
In the short clip, Meghan emphasizes the importance of “embracing traditions,” even sharing a sweet kiss with Harry as they enjoy the festive moments together.
The Duchess posted the trailer to her Instagram just as Prince William and Princess Kate were preparing to step out for the star-studded Royal Variety Performance in London’s Royal Albert Hall, where they dazzled alongside top celebrities.
Inside the Sussexes’ Holiday Traditions
Fans get a glimpse into the intimate celebrations of the Sussex family, including six-year-old Archie and four-year-old Lilibet.
Meghan showcases fun family activities like decorating cookies, making advent calendars with thoughtful notes, and painting snowflake treats.
“Being a hostess or a host is about making people feel comfortable,” she shares in the trailer, highlighting how gift-giving and small traditions bring warmth to the season.
Joining Meghan in the festive cheer are notable friends and guests, including tennis star Naomi Osaka, chef Tom Colicchio, hospitality expert Will Guidara, philanthropist Kelly McKee Zajfen, and her longtime friend Lindsay Roth.
A Montecito Holiday Wonderland
Although the show is set in Montecito, where the family lives, it’s filmed in a charming $8 million farmhouse owned by philanthropists Tom and Sherrie Cipolla, just a short distance from the Sussex family’s $14.65 million home.
Meghan explained to People earlier this year that filming outside their Montecito residence helps “protect [her family’s] safe haven.”
The Christmas special, set to release on Netflix on December 3, is part of Meghan and Harry’s renewed multi-year first-look deal with the streaming giant, which allows Netflix to approve projects before anyone else.
While this deal is less lucrative than their original $100 million contract, it continues their creative partnership through Archewell Productions.
Seasonal Flavors and Family Fun
Meghan has also shared personal glimpses into her family’s holiday rituals beyond the show.
In her newsletter for her lifestyle brand As Ever, she revealed that she, Harry, and the children enjoy harvesting sage from their garden for homemade Thanksgiving meals.
Fans have even spotted Meghan in Instagram posts documenting the flowering sage, a Santa Barbara varietal she adores.
The newsletter recounts “sun-drenched moments” of the family strolling through the garden with their two dogs, picking sage, and enjoying playful moments together.
The family-centered anecdotes tie into As Ever’s new Sage Honey with Honeycomb, which retails for $32 per 9oz jar.
Meghan’s Stylish Christmas Promo
In recent Instagram clips, the Duchess has been sharing glimpses of assembling gifts while highlighting her As Ever Christmas range, which includes a $64 candle, mulled spice kits, and festive champagne.
The promotional content leans into neutral, earthy tones, matching the minimalist décor of her home, though some fans criticized it as lacking the traditional bright colors associated with the season.
Despite mixed reactions, Meghan remains committed to showcasing the personal, thoughtful side of her brand and family life.
Netflix Partnership and Future Projects
Five years after stepping down as senior working royals, Harry and Meghan signed their first Netflix deal, which included projects like With Love, Meghan, Polo, Heart of Invictus, Live to Lead, and the documentary Harry & Meghan.
The new Christmas special is part of a scaled-down arrangement, focusing on curated lifestyle content and seasonal specials rather than blockbuster productions.
While the first season of With Love, Meghan didn’t make Netflix’s top ten, Harry and Meghan remain proud of their work.
Meghan shared, “My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”
