“Primeboy Accuses Mohbad’s Wife as Prime Suspect in Singer’s Death Investigation

Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin, also known as Primeboy and a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has made a statement accusing Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, of being a prime suspect in the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s death.

Primeboy recently turned himself in to the Lagos State Police Command on October 5th, 2023.

Previously, the police had declared Primeboy wanted for failing to respond to a police invitation since the commencement of the investigation into Mohbad’s death.

A reward of N1 million had also been offered to anyone who could provide information leading to his location.

In his defense, Primeboy stated during an interview that he had never received an official notification from the police regarding the invitation.

He expressed his intention to cooperate with the police following the accusations surrounding Mohbad’s death. However, he claimed that he waited for the police to contact him until he started receiving calls informing him that he had been declared wanted, which left him in a state of shock.

Regarding his relationship with Mohbad, Primeboy described Mohbad as his childhood friend, revealing that they had lived together and even shared meals as children. He went on to explain that he had taken on roles akin to that of a stepmother and father for the late Mohbad.

Addressing the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death, Primeboy clarified that he was not with Mohbad on the day he passed away. The last time he saw Mohbad was on Sunday, September 10th, 2023, during Mohbad’s performance in Ikorodu.

He recounted that on that particular Sunday, he was in a car with Mohbad and Omowunmi. A heated argument ensued between Mohbad and his wife, which led to Primeboy being asked to leave the car, leaving the couple together.

Primeboy expressed his desire for justice for Mohbad and criticized Omowunmi for making public statements that implicated him in Mohbad’s death, thus designating her as a prime suspect.

Meanwhile, activist VeryDarkBlackMan had earlier suggested that Mohbad’s wife might be a bigger suspect than Naira Marley and Sam Larry.

He called for thorough questioning of Mohbad’s wife, highlighting that she was present at home when a nurse came to treat the late singer a day before his demise.
