Hello everyone, it’s truly a joy to connect with you all here at the home of the Chicago White Sox, where so many have gathered to celebrate faith together.
I want to send a special hello to Cardinal Cupich, the auxiliary bishops, and all the friends and families joining in today.
This gathering takes place on a very special day — the feast of the Most Holy Trinity — a beautiful moment to reflect on God’s presence in our lives.
Reflecting on the Love Within the Holy Trinity
The Trinity — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — reminds us of a perfect example of love and unity.
Three distinct persons, yet one God, living in complete harmony and love.
This divine relationship is a model for us all, showing how we are called to live in community, sharing love and connection not just with God, but with each other.
Building Stronger Bonds in Our Daily Lives
As you come together today, I want to thank you for your commitment to faith and community.
More than that, I want to encourage you to keep strengthening those bonds — whether in your families, your parishes, or throughout the Archdiocese.
Being brothers and sisters in faith means supporting each other every day, in both big moments and the small ones.
A Special Message for Young People Everywhere
To the young people here and those joining us online — I want to speak directly to you.
Growing up in these challenging times, especially through the pandemic and the difficulties it brought, has not always made it easy to feel connected to faith or community.
If you’ve felt distant or isolated, know that you’re not alone.
I invite you to take a quiet moment to look within your own heart.
God is there, calling and reaching out to you, often in unexpected ways — through the Bible, a friend, a family member, or a grandparent who lives by faith.
Listen to that call and let it guide you to discover Jesus Christ, who offers love and hope to everyone.
Finding Hope and Healing in Community
Life can bring anxiety, loneliness, and sadness, and many people struggle with these feelings.
But the love of God is a powerful source of healing.
When we come together — as friends, neighbors, and members of faith communities — we experience the strength and grace that only God’s love can provide.
It can lift us up and give us hope, even in the hardest times.
Living Our Faith Through Service and Outreach
Sharing this hope with others by serving and reaching out is what gives our lives real meaning.
When we look for ways to help those around us and make the world a kinder, more loving place, we become a living sign of God’s love and hope for all people.
