Police report hit-and-run case “appears intentional”

Three people were murdered and one was wounded in a hit-and-run collision early on Sunday morning in Chicago outside a Black-owned LGBT club, and police stated the tragedy “appears to be purposeful” in their most recent press conference.

But according to Brenden Deenihan, the head of detectives for the Chicago Police Department, the investigation into the incident as a hate crime has not yet been completed.

According to Deenihan, there is no evidence to suggest that these people were targeted for harm because of their ethnicity, religion, or other characteristics.

He also went into depth about what happened before the hit-and-run.

According to Deenihan, “it seems there was a dispute inside that place, it spilled into the street, and then there was an ongoing brawl at that time.” Then, as you can see, the person enters a vehicle and conducts the heinous crime.

Four blocks from the Jeffery Pub, authorities found the automobile they believe was involved, but they don’t have a suspect in custody.

Deenihan appealed to the neighbourhood for assistance in locating the driver.

Naturally, you can’t accuse an automobile of a crime, he added. We need to know who the driver was, and we’re certain that others are aware of this.

Deenihan said that there is still “a lot of work to be done” by the agency and that the detectives are eager to “provide some relief to some of these families.”
