Police parades crime suspects in Niger State

The Nigerian Police in Niger state North Central Nigeria, has paraded 12 suspected criminals for committing various offences including Kidnapping  and arms deal

The Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command Mr.Monday Bala Kuryas who paraded the alleged criminals at the Police Command  in Minna Niger State capital stated that 3 of the suspect are gun runners  from Sokoto State, intercepted along Makera – Mokwa road in Niger state.

“A police team intercepted them in a vehicle at Sabon makers village with 2 Ak 47 rifles, 2 Ak 49 rifles,16 magazines,417 ammunitions of 7.62 calibres, and 150 RPG live ammunitions,” CP kuryas said.

CP Kuryas further said another suspect who specialised on local gun fabrication was also arrested in swashi village with 14 locally fabricated metal guns concealed in a sack heading to kanti village in New Bussa of Borgu Local Government area of Niger State.

The Police Commissioner also mentioned how a crack team of his command arrested 2 suspected Kidnappers in kontagora area of the state , as well as 3 armed robbery suspect in agaie local government area of the state.
He said, ” A Toyata highlander jeep was recovered from the suspected armed robbers, 5 Set  cloth’s,Jewelries valued N190,000,a sum of N1,080,000 and other items”.

Other arrests made by the police team across Niger state, according to CP Kuryas includes a notorious motorcycle snatcher  and jerry can  petroleum black market dealers in Minna.

The Commissioner however stated that the police would continue to ensure safety and protection of life and properties of communities across the state.

He urged members of the public on the need to always give security agencies optimum support  by providing useful information of crime activities across the state.
