Policeman is hit by a train while assisting a man, and later dies in the hospital.

The officer – who has been named by the force as Sergeant Graham Saville – was left in a critical condition following the incident on Thursday.

The force confimed his death on Tuesday evening.
Nottinghamshire Police were deployed to a residential area in Balderton following concerns over the welfare of a man just before 7pm on Thursday.
