A quiet evening in the Mzomusha area of Dundee turned into a nightmare on Friday, 23 May 2025, when a brutal shooting left four people dead.
Police in KwaZulu-Natal have now launched a manhunt to track down two suspects believed to be responsible for this tragic incident.
The Deadly Attack Outside and Inside the Home
According to reports, two men aged 31 and 35 were outside the house when the suspects arrived.
Without warning, the suspects opened fire, killing both men instantly.
But the horror didn’t stop there. The suspects then forced their way inside the house where three others were present.
They demanded money and drugs from a 29-year-old woman living there. During a struggle, one of the suspects shot her multiple times.
Tragically, a 14-year-old girl inside the house was also shot several times and died at the scene.
The suspects reportedly searched the woman and took some amount of money before fleeing.
Survivors and Possible Motives Behind the Shooting
Thankfully, not everyone inside the house was harmed.
A woman and a man who managed to escape after hearing the initial gunshots survived without injuries.
While police are investigating, their current belief is that robbery was the main motive.
However, they haven’t ruled out the possibility that a drugs-related conflict might have played a role in this violent crime.
