According to press sources, the doctor from Naples, Eric Andrew Salata, is charged with two charges of sexual battery against a physically defenseless person. According to a police complaint acquired by the Naples Daily News, the 54-year-old attacked two ladies, ages 51 and 73, while they were undergoing cosmetic operations while sedated.
According to a police complaint, the 51-year-old lady informed police that during her treatment last month, Salata provided laughing gas in addition to a prescription she took when she arrived.
She reported feeling Salata touch her private parts before she questioned what he was doing, at which point he stopped, according to the report.
According to the investigation, he then administered additional laughing gas and handed her an unidentified clear beverage, probably tequila, to consume. She said she was inebriated and unconscious at that point.
According to the report, when she awoke, she reported seeing Salata engaging in oral sex and passing out again before she could intervene. The publication said that when she regained consciousness, he was reportedly probing her before she again fell asleep.
According to the Naples Daily News, the 73-year-old lady said Salata raped her during the treatment on Monday, citing officials.
According to the victim’s account, the doctor massaged a region of her body and provided her laughing gas to alleviate any pain. According to the allegation, while the massage proceeded and additional laughing gas was administered, Salata allegedly raped the victim.
According to the report, she stated that she was awake and conscious during the attack and that Salata was on top of her for around 15 seconds.
According to WZVN, Salata co-owns Pura Vida Medical Spa with his wife.
During both surgeries, Salata was reportedly alone in the room, according to the station.
Monday night, the same day the second lady came forward, he was reportedly detained and given a $200,000 bail.
