Murder Investigation Launched After Woman Found Dead in Petersfield Home
Police have launched a murder investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in a house on Station Road, Petersfield.
The victim, who was in her 40s, was found dead just before 8pm on a leafy Hampshire street.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the woman’s family has been informed and is receiving support from specialist officers.

Suspect in Custody
A 25-year-old woman from Bordon has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is currently in police custody.
Authorities have appealed to anyone who may have heard or seen anything in the early evening yesterday to come forward as potential witnesses.
Enquiries Underway
Detectives were seen outside the Petersfield home conducting investigations into the murder of the middle-aged woman.
Detective Chief Inspector Emma Crute, the Senior Investigating Officer, urged potential witnesses to come forward with any information that could be useful, no matter how insignificant it may seem.
She also encouraged anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to call 101 with reference Op Cleome.
Increased Police Presence in the Area
Residents in the area should expect to see an increased police presence as the probe into the murder is underway.
