Possible Criminal Charges for Pete Davidson After Crashing Car into House
Comedian Pete Davidson may face criminal charges following his late-night car crash, as a result of the incident.
Despite not resulting in serious injury, law enforcement sources informed TMZ that the Beverly Hills Police Department has completed their investigation and sent the case to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether Davidson will face charges for the crash.
Reckless Driving Charge Likely
Although drugs and alcohol were ruled out as factors in the accident, Davidson was reportedly traveling at a high speed when he lost control of his Mercedes, drove through someone’s yard, and crashed into the side of a house in Beverly Hills last month, with his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders in the car.
With this in mind, a reckless driving charge is likely on the table.
No Injuries, but Not in the Clear
Davidson was not cited at the time of the accident, but that did not mean he was in the clear.
Despite no one being injured, he may still face the consequences of his actions.
The case is heading to the District Attorney, which usually handles felony cases.
However, in Beverly Hills, the D.A. can also handle misdemeanor charges.
Repercussions for Irresponsible Driving
Driving under the influence, speeding, and reckless driving are not only illegal but can also result in severe consequences.
Even without the presence of drugs and alcohol, reckless driving can still lead to significant harm and damage to property.
Pete Davidson’s case serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible driving and the repercussions that come with irresponsible driving.
