In an industry where comebacks are nothing new, Brock Lesnar’s return to WWE still managed to spark a firestorm.

But this one isn’t just about hype — it’s about controversy, silence, and one very unapologetic Paul Heyman.

Lesnar Returns After Two-Year Absence Amid Legal Shadows

Sunday night’s SummerSlam had its fair share of surprises, but none more jaw-dropping than Brock Lesnar showing up to confront John Cena — his first WWE appearance in two years.

Lesnar had been off the radar since 2023, when he was abruptly removed from programming.

At the time, his name surfaced repeatedly in a lawsuit involving former WWE boss Vince McMahon, who faces serious accusations of sex trafficking.

While Lesnar isn’t listed as a defendant, he’s been referenced in court filings, adding a thick layer of tension to his return.

So far, Lesnar has kept quiet — no public statement, no clarification.

WWE, too, has remained silent when asked by press outlets like the Daily Mail for comment on his reinstatement.

Paul Heyman Says Criticism Is Inevitable — and Irrelevant

Longtime Lesnar ally Paul Heyman didn’t sugarcoat things when speaking with Ariel Helwani this week.

His message to fans critical of Lesnar’s return? “Get over it.”

“There are always going to be critics,” Heyman said bluntly.

“Very few people make it to the top without mistakes or skeletons in the closet… but Brock is back, and he’s not going anywhere.”

Heyman doubled down, insisting that the decision to bring Lesnar back was clearly made with confidence — and according to him, the crowd’s reaction at MetLife Stadium proved WWE made the right call.

‘You Can’t Cancel Brock,’ Says Heyman

Heyman dismissed criticism as noise, suggesting it doesn’t matter whether fans approve or not — Lesnar is staying put.

“If we brought him back and the audience booed him out of the building, I’d feel differently.

But that didn’t happen,” he said. “That crowd went wild. Nobody walked out saying, ‘Ugh, Brock again?’ They were into it.”

Heyman also brushed off questions about whether the backlash is justified. “No. I don’t pay attention to that,” he said.

“Everything gets criticized — even Jesus, Moses, Mohammed.

Presidents. There’s no such thing as 100% approval.”

The Allegations Behind the Lawsuit Resurface

While Lesnar himself hasn’t spoken, the legal case that pushed him out of WWE two years ago has taken new turns.

Former WWE employee Janel Grant amended her lawsuit earlier this year, revealing disturbing new allegations.

The complaint now explicitly names Lesnar as the wrestler McMahon allegedly used Grant to entice into staying with WWE.

Grant claims she was manipulated into creating personalized sexual content for Lesnar, and that McMahon even told her, “He likes what he sees,” after sharing explicit photos.

It also alleges that after Lesnar agreed to his contract in 2021, McMahon messaged Grant saying that “part of the deal was f***ing U.”

These claims had previously been reported anonymously, but The Wall Street Journal later identified the wrestler in question as Lesnar.

WWE Remains Silent as Debate Rages

As of now, WWE hasn’t addressed Lesnar’s controversial comeback or the lawsuit’s implications.

Fans remain split — some thrilled by the return of a fan favorite, others disturbed by the cloud of allegations that still hang over the company.

And while Lesnar keeps his lips sealed, Paul Heyman is speaking louder than ever — pushing the idea that entertainment trumps scandal, and that the roar of the crowd is all the validation Lesnar needs.
