What was meant to be a routine trip from London to Lisbon turned into a tense and noisy ordeal for passengers aboard a British Ryanair flight.
On August 12, flight FR1882 descended into chaos after a heated confrontation reportedly began over a crying baby.
From Tears to Tension
Video taken by passengers shows the unsettling scene — children crying, adults shouting, and voices overlapping in a cabin that felt far from calm.
One mother could be seen gently trying to comfort her child, repeating, “It’s okay, it’s okay.
We’re going now.” Nearby, a man appeared to hold back another passenger as tensions rose.
Trouble Peaks Upon Landing
According to local reports, the situation worsened once the aircraft touched down in Lisbon and began taxiing toward the gate.
Police were called in to handle the confrontation, and all passengers were kept onboard for about an hour while the matter was addressed.
Ryanair has yet to comment on the incident.
Not the First Ryanair Drama This Month
This wasn’t the only recent disruption involving the airline.
Just weeks earlier, a separate Ryanair flight was delayed for two hours after a 21-year-old passenger was accused of vaping in the plane’s toilet.
Six Officers, One Passenger
The earlier incident took place at Edinburgh Airport on a flight bound for Alicante, Spain.
Passenger Tristan James Walker, 39, filmed the moment after he claimed the smoke alarm in the lavatory went off.
He said the delay began even before takeoff due to staff sickness, but things escalated when the alarm was triggered.
A Swift Removal
According to Walker, the pilot informed the passenger that he would be removed from the aircraft.
Moments later, six police officers boarded the plane and escorted the man off, taking him into a waiting van.
Authorities confirmed that the 21-year-old was later charged in connection with an aviation offence.
