Partnership with Christ is vital says Venerable Samuel Okonkwo

Clergy in charge of Deanery and Vicar-In-Charge of St. Faith’s Cathedral, Awka, Ven. Samuel Okonkwo says partnership with Christ is vital.

Ven. Okonkwo said this at St. Mark’s Aguluzigbo during Mothers of Faith Investiture Service.

In address, the cleric applauded the Diocesan on the privilege given to him to stand and speak before the congregation.

He encouraged the congregation to partner with Christ in order to be saved.

The venerable urged all to live a life of righteousness, live Christ-like, in word, truth and life.

The cleric noted that a lot of Christians had neglected God, but trusting in chariot and horses and making sacrifices to fake gods, but urged them to return to God.

According to him without God, we can do nothing, pleading that we seek Christ and run into him for safety as he is our strong tower.

The venerable urged the congregation to imitate the biblical people, who trusted God and God delivered them in the likes of Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego, Daniel and Esther.

Ven. Okonkwo lamented at a lack of trust by Christians toward God, cautioning that we trust as there was no other name by which man could be saved except by God.

He, then, urged the congregation to make Jesus their strong tower for God has good plans for mankind and would surely deliver his people even in the fiercest face of trouble.

The cleric noted that in the midst of fear, let us call on the mighty name of God at all times and see ourselves being delivered by God. He prayed for mercy of God upon all, to always remember calling God in terrible times.
