It’s been years since Jeffrey Epstein died in that New York jail cell, yet the questions surrounding his case haven’t disappeared—they’ve only multiplied.
Now, voices from inside conservative circles are turning up the heat again.
Tucker Carlson, former Fox News host, is among them, and he’s not holding back.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Carlson sat down with ex-CIA contractor Shawn Ryan. The topic?
The mysterious and controversial handling of the long-promised “Epstein files.”
But instead of closure, the files—and the people behind them—are under fire.
Tucker and Ryan: “This Is a Rigged System”
The two didn’t mince words.
They slammed Trump-era officials, especially FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing them of dodging transparency now that they’re in positions of power.
According to Carlson, the idea that top figures like Patel and former FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino can casually declare Epstein’s death a suicide—after supposedly reviewing all the files—is suspicious at best.
“No matter who wins the election, the policies stay the same, and the Epstein tapes stay hidden,” Carlson said, calling the system rigged.
Ryan followed up with a sarcastic jab: “At least we can all sleep peacefully now that Epstein definitely killed himself.”
The two burst into laughter.
Carlson’s Frustration: “What Was That?!”
Carlson’s irritation didn’t stop at the FBI.
He expressed confusion—and some mockery—over Dan Bongino and Patel’s recent public appearance, where they confidently confirmed Epstein’s suicide.
“I love Dan Bongino,” Carlson noted, “but what was that?”
Despite their friendship, Carlson couldn’t hide his shock at how little effort was made to address public doubt.
The former host pointed out that people are still asking how Epstein died without being held accountable in court—and why none of his alleged high-profile clients have been exposed or charged.
The Bigger Mystery: “Who Was Epstein Trafficking To?”
Ryan took it a step further, raising a troubling question: “How do you charge someone with sex trafficking without naming who he was trafficking to?”
For a man whose client list allegedly included the rich and powerful, it’s alarming that no one else has been indicted.
He hinted that there’s more being hidden than we realize, implying that Patel and others now in authority may be suppressing crucial information.
Shots Fired at Sebastian Gorka
Carlson and Ryan also didn’t spare former Trump advisor Sebastian Gorka.
Ryan joked that Gorka “has no idea what he’s doing,” and Carlson agreed, saying nobody—even Gorka’s own wife—takes him seriously.
In Carlson’s view, Gorka’s current role is more about posting dramatic replies on social media than engaging in real national security work.
“I don’t think he actually has a job,” Carlson quipped.
Ryan added that this might make him “perfect for the job.”
Conservative Frustration Grows: “Where Are the Files?”
Carlson’s latest critique reflects growing frustration among conservatives over the lack of progress in revealing the truth about Epstein.
Back in the run-up to the 2024 election, officials like Kash Patel made bold promises about exposing everything.
But when the first batch of Epstein documents was released in February, the public was underwhelmed.
Attorney General Pam Bondi had promised shocking revelations and plenty of names.
Instead, most of the information was already public, and there were no major bombshells.
Bondi later assured the public that a “truckload” of Epstein files was on the way.
But nearly three months have passed—and silence.
What Happens Now?
With elections behind us and promises still unfulfilled, the big question remains: Will the full truth about Epstein and his network ever come to light?
Or will the pattern continue—of insiders making bold claims while the real story stays buried?
Tucker Carlson and Shawn Ryan aren’t holding their breath.
And judging by the response from others, neither is the public.
