Former Bafana Bafana star and Orlando Pirates legend, Daine Klate, has been linked with a possible return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in a coaching capacity.

SuperSport United CEO, Stan Matthews, has expressed interest in having Klate join his side in the future.

Klate Open to Coaching SuperSport United

According to SoccerLaduma, Klate is open to coaching SuperSport United in the future.

He has sentimental memories of Matsatsantsa, and if the opportunity arises, joining them would be a match made in heaven.

Klate stated, “SuperSport is close to my heart.

So, for me, if the call comes and I am needed, and if it suits me and the club, then it would definitely be a match made in heaven.”

SuperSport United CEO Keen to Welcome Klate in the Future

Matthews has also expressed his interest in having Klate join SuperSport United in a coaching capacity.

However, he stated that it is something he will consider in the future, as he already has the coaching staff he needs.

Matthews confirmed that Klate would be the kind of candidate he would bring back to the club, stating, “There’s a future for Daine Klate at SuperSport.

It’s not now because we are full, and we just took Jabu (Maluleka), and I am steered by my head coach, and Gavin wanted Jabu in, and we were comfortable with that.”
