Orlando Pirates’ best signings in the January transfer window

In the last 10 years, the Orlando Pirates have done a lot of business in the January transfer window.
We take a look at the finest Orlando Pirates signings from the January transfer window, dating back to 2011.

It might be argued that Klate played his best football either side of his spell at Orlando Pirates, however, we feel he does enough to get on this list.
Klate was for some time a regular fixture in the Sea Robbers lineup and won no fewer than seven trophies during his time at Orlando Pirates.
He was involved in the back-to-back league titles won in 2011 and 2012.
Ntsikelelo Nyauza (January 2014)
Nyauza might not have been a blockbuster signing but he has gone on to be an Orlando Pirates stalwart.
While he has struggled to break into the first team he has been a loyal servant of the club.
He has a few good years ahead of him and would love to add a few more honours before he leaves the club.
Siyabonga Mpontshane (January 2015)
Mpontshane would prove his value to Orlando Pirates some time after his signing and is thus an unconventional entry into the list.
The stopper has only really come into his own this season having signed for Pirates seven years ago.

Mpontshane joined the club as a 28-year-old from Cape Umoya United but had to wait for his chance to really shine.
Augustine Mulenga (January 2018)
Here me out on this one. Mulenga is by no means a Pirates legend but he did offer utility to the Sea Robbers for a time.
Mulenga didn’t hit the goalscoring heights expected amid changing faces in the technical team.
His career stalled at Pirates and he is yet to truly revive it at Amazulu despite a bright start.
