A source close to Newton-John reportedly broke the news saying “After a 30-year cancer journey, she lost her battle to metastatic breast cancer.”
Olivia Newton-John, who achieved global acclaim as a singer and a movie actress, has away at the age of 73.
Her husband, John Easterling, confirmed that she passed away quietly on Monday morning at her ranch in Southern California, surrounded by her loved ones.
Despite spending more than 30 years battling breast cancer, Newton-cause John’s of death was not disclosed.
When she played Sandy in the 1978 film “Grease,” starring alongside John Travolta, she had her major break.
Despite receiving a 1992 diagnosis, Olivia Newton-breast John’s cancer went into remission until coming back in 2013. After returning to remission, it reappeared in 2017.
