For many reality stars, making the leap from primetime entertainment to daytime TV is no small step.
But Olivia Attwood has managed to do just that—winning over the famously picky audience of This Morning during her first big hosting gig.
The former Love Island favorite, now 34, admitted she felt a massive wave of relief once her debut episode was over and the feedback came pouring in.
Fans were quick to dub her “the new Holly Willoughby,” a comparison Olivia takes as a huge compliment, given Holly’s 14-year legacy on the ITV show.
The Blur of Her First Day on Set
Olivia still remembers the nerves of stepping out on the This Morning set for the very first time.
She described those opening moments as “a blur,” recalling the instant she heard the iconic theme tune play and realized she was standing next to veteran broadcaster Dermot O’Leary.
“It’s surreal,” she admitted. “Once you make it to that first ad break without messing up, you can finally breathe.
That’s when I thought, okay—I’ve got this.”
Winning Over the Tough Daytime Crowd
Daytime audiences are not always easy to impress, and Olivia knew that going in.
But to her surprise and relief, viewers embraced her straight away. The reaction from both fans and the press gave her confidence that she had done the job justice.
“You want the audience to back you when your name is announced,” she explained.
“And I definitely felt like they did. It was such a lovely reaction—it’s a sigh of relief for everyone, including the bosses.”
Could She Become a Permanent Fixture?
The question now is whether Olivia could secure a longer-term role on This Morning.
ITV bosses are said to be keen, and Olivia herself revealed that conversations have already begun.
“There are presenters I’d love to host with, but working with Dermot just felt right,” she said.
“The show has expressed interest in me being more permanent, but it’s about timing.
My schedule is crazy, and they have slots filled, but hopefully you’ll be seeing more of me.”
Juggling a Packed Filming Schedule
Her schedule, indeed, is packed. Alongside her This Morning debut, Olivia has been filming the fourth series of Getting Filthy Rich in Las Vegas and hosting the dating show Bad Boyfriends, which just wrapped its latest dramatic season on ITVX.
The reality of that show can be intense—even for her. “Some moments left me genuinely uncomfortable,” she admitted.
“But the point of the show is to shine a light on behavior some guys think is normal. That’s what makes it powerful.”
Partnering With Nationwide for Students
Outside of TV, Olivia has teamed up with Nationwide to help students make smarter money choices.
She launched NationFried, a pop-up café serving free breakfasts alongside financial tips as part of Nationwide’s FlexStudent account campaign.
The project toured cities including Cardiff, Manchester, and Glasgow during Freshers Week.
Although Olivia never went to university herself, she grew up with what she calls an “open narrative” around money.
Starting work at just 15, she says financial independence was always her priority.
Why Money Equals Freedom for Olivia
Speaking about her approach to money, Olivia reflected on how vital financial education is:
“Knowledge is power when it comes to money and finances.
I’ve always equated money with freedom, and it’s something I wanted from a young age.”
She admitted that many young people find money intimidating, but stressed the importance of not shying away from it. “
The resources are out there—you just need to use them,” she explained.
What’s Next for Olivia?
With This Morning interest simmering, multiple shows on air, and her financial campaign with Nationwide making headlines, Olivia’s career is showing no signs of slowing down.
For now, she’s basking in the relief of nailing her live TV debut—but it seems only a matter of time before she takes on even more.
