The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service ( OGIRS) in it’s drive to block revenue leakages and hype revenue generation, is set to adopt a Consortium of Insurance companies in issuance of Insurance Policy certificate for vehicle owners.
The Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr Olugbenga Anthony Olaleye who disclosed this in a meeting with all road Taxes Officers at the agency’s headquarters, Oke Mosan in Abeokuta said the initiative was to ensure that every taxable resident in the State pays appropriate road Taxes with ease and ensure that such taxes are remitted into government coffers appropriately as well as meeting the set targets.
In the same vein , the Special Adviser to the Governor on Revenue, Mr Adegbenga Adeshina urged the officers to cooperate with their supervisors in actualising the initiative of engaging Insurance Consortium for OGIRS.
