The shooting occurred around 9:30 a.m. on 18 July 2025, inside a flat on Gordon Terrace in Central, Gqeberha.
Police were called to the scene following reports of gunfire.
When officers arrived, they found two women dead from gunshot wounds, along with the body of a man who had also been shot.
The man was confirmed to be an off-duty constable stationed at Algoa Park SAPS.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa from SAPS, the constable allegedly shot the two women before turning the gun on himself.

On 16 July, officers responded to a call about a young girl found dead in a bushy area in Bethelsdorp, Gqeberha.
The 12-year-old girl was discovered with visible injuries.
While the cause of death has not yet been confirmed — pending a postmortem examination — no suspects have been identified. The motive remains a mystery.
