Governor Willie Obiano has warned Anambra State electorate against selling their votes, irrespective of any circumstances as the November sixth governorship election draws near.
Governor Obiano, who gave the warning through the state Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. C-Don Adinuba while interacting with newsmen, urged Ndi Anambra to join hands in making sure that the election is free and fair, to save the state from going back to the dark ages, but vote for the right candidate for good governance and effective leadership.
According to the governor, Anambra State has sound, enlightened and articulate leadership, which would be sustained if the best candidate, who can effectively represent the state is elected.
On his part, the running mate to Professor Chukwuma Soludo in the forthcoming Anambra governorship election, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, revealed that Anambra State has recorded tremendous landmark achievements in all sectors of the state economy, assuring that his principal, Professor Soludo, would keep the pace of development if elected as governor.
Contributing, the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Honourable Pascal Agbodike, urged Anambra state electorate to vote wisely for the continuation of good governance.
