Obiano Asks Motorists To Disregard Monday Sit – at – home Order

Governor Willie Obiano has directed Motorists in Anambra State to feel free to ply their usual routes across the State tomorrow.

Governor Obiano gave the directive during a meeting with Transport Leaders at the Governor’s Lodge, Amawbia, where he cautioned against further adherence to the sit at home order which he said has become inimical to the State economy.

The Governor who expressed concern over the adverse effect of the compliance to Ndi Anambra, wondered why they comply, stressing that Anambra economy mainly thrives on Trade and commerce.

He maintained that if Markets remain closed he will sack the leadership of the market and directed the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Uchenna Okafor who was also part of the meeting to pass the information to them.

Governor Obiano emphasized that if they don’t comply, their leadership will be changed within two weeks.

He used the opportunity to reiterate the government ban on collection of levies on Anambra roads pointing out that people who collect levies on the road should be regarded as thieves, assuring that security operatives are on ground to implement government directives.
