Oasis fans slam outrageous drink prices as reunion show in Cardiff charges over eight pounds for a single pint

After years of waiting and wondering if it would ever happen, Oasis fans finally got their dream moment—Liam and Noel Gallagher reunited on stage.

But while the band’s comeback was pure magic for music lovers, the experience came with a hefty tab—especially at the bar.

A Night to Remember with a Price Tag Fans Won’t Forget

Fans packed into Cardiff’s Principality Stadium for the first stop on Oasis’s long-anticipated reunion tour, marking the first time the Gallagher brothers have performed together since their dramatic split in 2009.

The atmosphere was electric, the crowd was buzzing—and the drink prices had jaws dropping.

With 34 bars and around 900 staff on duty, fans looking to enjoy a cold one were shocked to find a half-pint of Strongbow costing £7.70, and a pint of Cruzcampo setting them back £8.20. Spirits hovered near £10 each, and even non-alcoholic options weren’t spared—bottled water came in at £3.40, and soft drinks weren’t far behind.

One frustrated fan on X didn’t hold back, calling it “£8.20 for a pint of p***” and labelling the pricing as “robbery.”

Another pointed out that two pints at the show cost them as much as a ticket to see Oasis back in 1996.

From Bitterness to Brotherhood on Stage

Still, most fans were too caught up in the magic of the moment to stay mad for long.

The reunion felt surreal to many, considering the bitter public fallouts between Liam and Noel over the years.

But when they hit the stage—greeted by a roaring crowd of 74,000—it was clear the past had been set aside, at least for now.

“Hello beautiful people,” Liam greeted the crowd, before shouting, “It’s good to be back!” The brothers kicked off the show with a thundering rendition of their track “Hello.”

Liam sported his trademark green parka, while Noel kept it classic in a denim shirt and dark jeans.

Hits, Hometown Pride, and Emotional Tributes

The night rolled on with hit after hit—“Morning Glory,” “Acquiesce,” “Wonderwall,” “The Masterplan,” “Champagne Supernova,” and a powerful rendition of “Live Forever,” during which they paid tribute to late footballer Diogo Jota, who tragically passed away the day before.

At one point, Liam fired up the crowd by shouting, “Is anyone here from Manchester?” triggering a deafening response.

As beer flew through the air and fans sang their hearts out, the years of silence between the brothers melted away.

Fans Travel the World for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Gig

Some fans had traveled across countries—and continents—for this night.

Rodrigo Faez, 42, flew in from Gijón, Spain, calling it a “once in a lifetime” event.

He had seen Oasis back in 2009 before the breakup and described the band as more than music—“a way of life.”

“They ruined our lives when they split, but they’ve saved them again now,” Rodrigo said.

“I never thought this day would come. It’s incredibly special.”

Others, like Antoine Bordeau, Clément Santoro, and Alexandre Bordeau, had made the trip from Paris.

“We’re just thrilled to be here, sharing this moment with the people of Cardiff,” they said.

Cardiff Gets Round Two Before the Tour Rolls On

If you missed the first night, don’t worry—Oasis is playing Cardiff again on Saturday, July 5, before heading to Manchester for the next leg of their 41-show tour.

Despite the steep drink prices, fans left feeling like they had witnessed something historic.

The music, the atmosphere, and the moment the Gallaghers stood side by side again—it was everything they’d waited for and more.
