North West Legislature Health Committee to convene a meeting with Financial Fiscal Commission

On Thursday, 10 February 2022, the North West Provincial Legislature’s Portfolio Committee on Health and Social Development chaired by Hon. Gavin Edwards will convene a virtual meeting with the Financial and Fiscal Commission (FFC), at 08h00.
The purpose of the meeting is to assess how the Commission can advise on the accruals and budget trends in terms of the COVID-19 environment; and centralised budget at the National Department that often add to the red tape and not assist with service delivery.
Amongst other issues to be discussed is guidelines or best practices and developmental initiatives that the Commission can offer to both the Department of Health and the Department of Social Development.
