“Where you feel everything all the time but also have no capacity to feel anything ever because even debilitating anxiety is a chore on your never-ending to do list and the compounding sadness needs time you don’t have. So, you just scroll to remember till you just scroll to forget,” the message continued.

RIKY RICK’S DEATH

Boity along with other celebrities such as Lasizwe has changed their profile photo to a picture of late rapper Riky Rick. The family of Riky Rick confirmed his death on 23 February which was rumoured to be a suicide.

“Son, husband, father, brother and uncle, Riky ‘Ricky’ Makhado (34) sadly passed away in the early hours of this morning (23rd February) in Johannesburg,” read the statement by the family.

“Affectionately known as Riky Rick across the globe, he was deeply loved by his family, friends and the entire entertainment industry. His love for family, friends, and community is well known. Riky’s nurturing and development of young musical talent is well documented and will forever be remembered,” the statement continued.

A close friend of Riky Rick told Sunday World that he did not know what could have triggered the suicide.

“Riky spoke about his depression and he was doing okay. He stopped taking drugs many years ago and that was never a secret. I don’t know what might have triggered this. But we will pray for Bianca and the kids,” said a close friend of the rapper to Sunday World.
