Niger state to pay for information on terrorists

The government of Niger State has declared that it will pay for credible intelligence on terrorists’ activities, travels, and whereabouts across the state.
The governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mary Noel-Berje, announced the creation of a situation room to coordinate intelligence on the security situation.
She said the security situation in the state has become a nightmare, and the government is doing everything it can to reverse the trend.
“Governor Sani-Bello has formed a situation and control center where credible intelligence is transmitted to security services,” the statement said in part.
The state government, through the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security, has announced a reward for those who are ready to supply credible intelligence on the terrorists.
” The Governor’s spokesperson, added that the activities of the bandits have caused a severe setback in the government’s programmes and projects.
Berje said;  “We must acknowledge that the evil activities of these terrorists have brought setbacks in the actualization of government projects such as the multi-billion naira Bobi grazing reserve, road projects and other projects.
It was derailed the execution of some developmental projects and policies of the government.
