Niger State Governor has commended the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari on the recent intervention for the reconstruction of some major roads in the state.
Governor Abubakar Sani Bello made the commendation while speaking to journalists in Minna, the state capital on Wednesday.
The Governor said the intervention in the reconstruction of some critical roads in the country in collaboration with the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNpC and Federal Internal revenue Commision would facilitate smooth transportation activities across the country.
According to Governor Bello, ” Most of the traffic moving cargos to South-West and up North, pass through the state which has left the roads withing minna the state capital and other linked roads in bad condition.
” fixing these roads will help ease movement within the state, reduce travel time and risk of accidents”
Approval was recently given by the Nigerian government on the intervention by the NNPC and FIRS for the reconstruction of selected 21 deplorable major roads across the country.
