Nicola Peltz, the billionaire heiress and wife of Brooklyn Beckham, has been through a heartbreaking ordeal involving her beloved dogs.
After the tragic death of her chihuahua Nala, Nicola is now accusing the same pet grooming company of causing the death of her French bulldog Frankie and seriously harming her brother’s dog Banksy.
This emotional and legal battle is unfolding in New York, where Nicola is determined to hold the grooming service accountable.
The Heartbreaking Loss of Nala and the Shocking Lawsuit
Nicola’s grief turned to outrage after Nala, her eight-year-old chihuahua, died following a routine grooming appointment with HoundSpa LLC.
The groomer, Jony Ceballos, is accused in a lawsuit of intentionally abusing Nala, who was reportedly a healthy and happy dog before the appointment.
After the grooming session, Nicola says Nala was found in severe physical distress, suffering from fluid in her lungs, neurological problems, and a dangerously fast heart rate.
Sadly, Nala passed away only hours later.
In her legal complaint, Nicola claims Ceballos has a troubling history of abusing dogs and describes the grooming business and its staff as responsible for her pet’s untimely death.
Despite the accusations, the grooming company and its owner deny all allegations.
Trauma Spreads to Other Pets in the Family
The tragedy doesn’t end with Nala. Nicola says that after her chihuahua’s death, she came to realize that the same groomer was involved in the death of her French bulldog Frankie back in 2021.
Frankie reportedly returned from grooming stumbling and in visible distress, showing symptoms that suggested neurological damage.
After visits to several vets, it was discovered that Frankie had fluid in his brain and suffered such severe damage that he lost an eye and died months later.
Nicola also mentions her other dog Angel, who still experiences extreme anxiety and fear after being groomed by the same individual, shaking and screaming whenever left alone.
More Distressing Stories from Family and Customers
It’s not just Nicola’s dogs affected. Her brother’s dog Banksy, who has sensitive skin allergies, suffered after a grooming session where medicated shampoo was accidentally put in his eyes, causing severe irritation.
Despite repeated warnings to the groomer, Nicola alleges the situation was handled carelessly, and complaints made to management went unaddressed.
Adding to the picture of neglect, many negative online reviews have surfaced from other pet owners.
One dog owner claims their pet was left with razor cuts after grooming, and others say the groomer’s behavior was unfriendly or even frightening to their dogs.
Some reviews even connect the grooming service to a kennel owner recently arrested for animal cruelty, suggesting a disturbing pattern.
Legal Battle Intensifies with Celebrity Lawyer ‘Mad Dog’ on the Case
Nicola has hired Marty Singer, a well-known Hollywood lawyer nicknamed ‘Mad Dog’ for his fierce courtroom tactics, to take on HoundSpa and prove negligence.
Marty Singer has represented other big names like Kim Kardashian and Michael Jackson, signaling the seriousness of Nicola’s legal fight.
The New York Supreme Court has ordered both sides to exchange crucial documents, including Nala’s necropsy report and the grooming company’s insurance details.
Nicola is also scheduled to give a deposition in court later this year.
Nicola’s Emotional Toll and Fight for Justice
Throughout this painful process, Nicola has shared how deeply affected she is by losing her pets and witnessing their suffering.
She describes feeling overwhelmed by grief and frustration, especially since her other dog Angel continues to suffer trauma.
Nicola’s lawsuit highlights her determination to prevent other animals from going through similar abuse and neglect.
This case has caught public attention not just because of Nicola’s fame but also because it raises important questions about pet grooming safety and the accountability of businesses entrusted with the care of beloved animals.
