The Permanent Secretary recently deployed to the Lagos State Civil Service Commission (CSC), Mrs. Boladele Aderemi Dapo-Thomas, has urged all members of staff to work harmoniously to boost service delivery and maximise productivity.
Speaking at her first official engagement with Heads of Directorates and Units at Commission, the Permanent Secretary expressed delight and privilege for being deployed to the Commission as Permanent Secretary, saying she sees it as a “home-coming”, having previously worked at the CSC for 10 years.
She emphasised that the management staff must work in alignment with the strategic direction of the Chairman and Commission, noting that civil servants are the engine that ensures the implementation of policies in order to achieve set goals and objectives.
The Permanent Secretary declared that she expects cooperation and support from all members of staff in her new assignment as “Working together in unison is better than working competitively. When we cooperate our output tends to multiply. In actuality, productivity is maximised when cooperation is embraced”.
Prior to her deployment to the Civil Service Commission, Mrs. Dapo-Thomas had served as Permanent Secretary in the Ministries of Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Physical Planning and Urban Development and, most recently, Wealth Creation.
Recall that the Permanent Secretary was recently deployed by the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the Civil Service Commission on Friday, 5th February 2021, through a circular released by the Office of the Head of Service.
