News: LAGOS SPEAKER COMMISSIONS NEW CLASSROOMS IN BADAGRY

The Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, RT. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has commissioned a newly constructed six-classroom project at Ajara Comprehensive High School, Badagry, built by the LAHA member representing Badagry Constituency II, Mr. Setonji David.

In his address at the commissioning and handing over ceremony to the community, the Speaker commended the initiative, adding that it is in line with the State government’s policy on quality and affordable education for all as conceptualised in the T.H.E.M.E.S Agenda.

While calling on all and sundry to consider prioritising education in the State, he described education as very vital to the development of any society, stressing that the gesture shows how much David values education and his commitment to the development of the community.

Speaking earlier, Mr. David appreciated the people of his constituency for the opportunity to serve and implored them to join hands with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in providing a conducive learning environment for school children in the State.

According to David, he was prompted to build the six classrooms when he noticed that the school did not have adequate classrooms during his previous visits.

“This prompted my decision to support the community. I, therefore, enjoin my colleagues not to relent in contributing their quota to the development of their constituents”, David said.

Other dignitaries present at the occasion include Mr. Babatunde Hunpe (MHR), Chairmen of Badagry LG, Badagry West LCDA, and Olorunda LCDA, Politicians and Traditional Rulers amongst others.
