Nigeria – Candidates for screening as narcotic officers and narcotic assistants in Abuja and Jos starting next week, as well as other job seekers, have been warned not to fall prey to any fraudsters sending them messages demanding payment.
In a statement signed by Femi Babafemi, the agency’s director of media and advocacy, the agency has been alerted to messages sent to some shortlisted applicants and other job seekers requesting payment into fake bank accounts in order to secure them employment slots.
He advised “Shortlisted candidates to shun such fraudulent message as the NDLEA will not ask for payment from anyone seeking to work in the agency.
NDLEA Chairman Brig. General Mohamed Buba Marwa has directed the Agency’s intelligence directorate to track down and arrest the perpetrators of the scam messages.
