The Staff of BICT during a workshop on the proposed Nasarawa State e-Government Master Plan (N-EGMP) under the watch of Mallam Shehu Ibrahim, Director General (DG) BICT with Mr. Chris Abhulimin CEO E-scape Technologies Limited, the facilitator.

The workshop was able to bring to the fore the meaning, vision and mission of e-Government Master Plan which is simply refers as a way government seeks to convert from analogue to digital. In other words , a strategic translation of Government ways of doing things from analogue to digital phase primarily to better ways of providing services to people and businesses.

At the cause of the training it was clear that understanding e-Government Master Plan which is aim at Digital Economy, helps in sundry ways like; bettering our finances, transactions, revenue generation, healthcare services delivery, Security, Insurance, education and many more which could be via; Government to Business (G2B), Government to Citizens (G2C), Government to Employees (G2E), Government to Government (G2G).

The mission and vision of Nasarawa State Government under the leadership of His Excellency Governor Abdullahi A Sule in ensuring total “Digital SwitchOver” in line with Federal Government of Nigeria and the global best practice, BICT in collaboration with NITDA have gone far in drafting Nasarawa state e-Government Master Plan (N-EGMP) which when implemented is expected to place Nasarawa State among the first 3 states to have implement means and ease of doing business bearing in mind the “Present stage” and where it is expected “To be” considering the “Gap” in between which brings about Initiatives that requires Action Plan, Policies, Projects and Programmes.
