If you’ve ever found yourself mourning the loss of your favourite sauce from a fast-food menu, you’re not alone — and Nando’s has finally heard its customers loud and clear.
The beloved Peri-Peri chain has brought back a much-missed classic that had sauce lovers campaigning for its return.
Customers Voted, and Garlic BBQ Won Big
Earlier this year, Nando’s gave fans across the UK and Ireland a say in what should hit the menus next.
From May 13 to June 17, diners could either vote to resurrect a past sauce or even pitch a brand-new flavour.
People could join the fun by scanning a QR code in restaurants or heading to Nando’s website.
But instead of going for something completely new, the people made their voices heard — and the Garlic BBQ sauce reigned supreme.
The smoky, garlicky favourite won thousands of votes and has now been officially added back to the menu for the summer.
What About the Runners-Up?
While Garlic BBQ stole the spotlight, other fan-favourites weren’t far behind.
Mango & Lime came in second, with Smoky Churrasco close behind in third place.
But it’s Garlic BBQ that’s now sitting proudly on the famous Peri-ometer in all UK and Ireland branches.
New Menu Alert: Super Caesar Wrap and Nandino Burger
The sauce wasn’t the only exciting addition. Nando’s has also rolled out a fresh new wrap — the Super Caesar Wrap — perfect for those craving something hearty and flavourful.
It’s packed with pulled chicken, crunchy croutons, lettuce, pickles, and a zesty Caesar dressing.
And there’s something for the little ones, too.
The Nandino Burger has been upgraded, now featuring grilled chicken for a healthier and tastier kids’ option.
Secret Sauce No More: Extra Saucy Wings Go Official
In another treat for devoted fans, Nando’s has finally made one of its best-kept secrets available to everyone.
The Extra Saucy Wings, which were once an off-menu gem, are now a permanent part of the lineup.
These flame-grilled wings are smothered in Peri-Flamer, a spicy, sweet, and smoky sauce that’s earned cult status — despite never being officially listed.
The wings are topped off with a drizzle of creamy yogurt dressing and can be ordered in portions of three, five, or ten.
Free Wings? Yes, Please!
There’s more good news: if you’re part of the Nando’s Rewards programme, you could get your hands on Extra Saucy Wings for free.
They’re now available for dine-in, takeaway, or delivery across all UK and Ireland restaurants.
Creamy Salad Dressing Makes a Permanent Return
Earlier this year, Nando’s also delighted fans by reviving another favourite — the Creamy Salad Dressing.
First reintroduced on February 4, the garlicky and rich sauce was met with joy, especially since it had been missing in action since 2021.
Back then, its removal sparked a fan backlash, with some even launching a Change.org petition to get it reinstated.
Now, it’s officially back — and this time, it’s not going anywhere.
Whether you’re drizzling it over Peri-Salted Chips or adding it to spicy rice, the creamy dressing is once again a staple.
Saka’s Signature Sauce Adds Star Power
And yes, even footballers are getting in on the Nando’s action.
Last year, Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka launched his own limited-edition sauce in collaboration with the chain.
Called Peri-Peri Saka Sauce, the creation combined smoky BBQ, tomato, garlic, and paprika with Nando’s signature Peri-Peri heat — landing somewhere around medium on the spice scale.
Saka made sure it passed the most important test: his dad’s taste buds. Once he gave the nod of approval, the sauce went nationwide.
From Kitchen to Table: Saka’s Sauce Gets the Full Treatment
To promote the launch, Nando’s even filmed Saka getting hands-on in the kitchen, teaming up with an Arsenal chef to bring his dream flavour to life.
The sauce’s bottle was given a custom look by Reuben Dangoor, the artist behind Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium wrap.
Though it was a limited-time feature, the buzz around the Peri-Peri Saka Sauce proved that Nando’s fans are always eager for bold new flavours — especially when they’re co-signed by one of football’s biggest names.
What’s Next for Nando’s?
Between bringing back long-lost sauces, revealing secret menu items, and teaming up with sports stars, it’s clear that Nando’s is all about listening to the people.
Whether you’re in it for the nostalgic Garlic BBQ, the new Caesar wrap, or the spicy thrill of Peri-Flamer wings, there’s plenty to get excited about this summer.
So if you’ve got a craving, now’s the time to head down to your local Nando’s — because your favourites (and a few surprises) are finally back on the table.
