Some moments in life are so shocking, they feel like scenes out of a movie.
For Myleene Klass, one of those moments happened during what was supposed to be a joyful celebration—her own birthday party.
Instead of cake and laughter, she was met with betrayal in one of the worst ways possible.
The Birthday Party That Changed Everything
Myleene opened up about a painful chapter from her past on the We Need To Talk podcast with Paul Brunson.
She revealed that she once caught her then-partner, Graham Quinn—who was also her former bodyguard—getting intimate with a well-known celebrity at her birthday party.
To make matters worse, the incident took place on the balcony of her own home.
She didn’t name the other woman, but hinted that this person has gone on to build a public image around being family-friendly.
“I walked in on him and this famous person unzipping each other’s clothes,” she recalled.
“They tried to say it wasn’t what it looked like, but I was like—of course, it was exactly what it looked like.”
A Shocking Response from the Family
Once the shocking scene unfolded, Myleene did what most would do in such a moment—she shut the whole party down and sent everyone home, even Graham’s parents.
She remembers one particularly strange comment from Graham’s father, who said, “He doesn’t get it from me,” leaving her baffled.
Graham, who fathered Myleene’s two daughters—Ava and Hero—tried blaming the moment on alcohol.
But for Myleene, it was a glaring red flag, one she tried to ignore at the time.
A Wedding Built on Doubt
Despite the betrayal, Myleene went ahead and married Graham in October 2011.
She now admits she was overwhelmed by the pressures around her—family, children, the grandeur of a cathedral wedding—but her gut told her it wasn’t right.
Speaking later on Loose Women, she shared an emotional memory: “I was sobbing in the bath the night before the wedding.
My best friend even offered to take me away like in Thelma and Louise, but I didn’t go. I thought I couldn’t—I had two kids and everything was already planned.”
Just three days into the marriage, Myleene said she knew she had made a mistake.
Graham ended up leaving her six months later—ironically, on her birthday again.
Living with the Fallout
The aftermath wasn’t just painful—it was public.
Myleene’s heartbreak unfolded in front of the world while, according to her, the other woman in the story seemed to carry on building a “perfect” public life.
“It was really hard to see that,” Myleene admitted.
“My whole life was falling apart while theirs looked like a picture-perfect brand.”
She’s worked hard to make peace with it all, especially for the sake of her children.
“My kids have asked their questions,” she said.
“And it’s not about putting everything on display—it’s about timing and truth. But people will gossip.
Even other mums at school will talk to your kids before they talk to you.”
The Ultimate Insult
As if the affair wasn’t bad enough, Myleene shared another disturbing moment from that time.
The woman who had been involved with her then-husband once approached her and asked for a photo.
“She wanted a picture with me,” Myleene recalled, visibly disturbed.
“I said no. I don’t agree with what you represent. That photo would live on forever, and I won’t align myself with someone who contributed to the destruction of my family.”
Final Thoughts and Accountability
Myleene doesn’t shy away from acknowledging her role in the relationship’s outcome.
“I do have to take some accountability,” she said.
“I stayed when I shouldn’t have. I married someone I already had doubts about.
But I did it thinking it was the right thing for my children and the family.”
Her story is one that blends heartbreak, betrayal, and eventually, strength.
She’s come a long way from the woman who sobbed in the bath, and now, she’s focused on raising her daughters and reclaiming her peace—one honest conversation at a time.
