After a devastating 6-1 Europa Conference League defeat to Bodo/Glimt on Thursday, Jose Mourinho stated that his Roma players are of ordinary level.

“I’m the one who decided to play with the team we use tonight, so it’s my duty,” Mourinho stated in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“We have a very good team; we don’t have a very good squad,” Mou, who didn’t hesitate to doubt the quality of the players at his disposal in the Eternal City, stated. We didn’t play as a team, but rather as a squad, and we were penalized as a result.”

The Portuguese earlier questioned Brian Reynolds, Riccardo Calafiori, and Marash Kumbulla’s ability to play for the Giallorossi, and each of the three started on the night as Roma suffered an embarrassing away defeat.

He, however, added “If I could use the same players every match I would. We were punished because they are better than us.”
