Muslim Council Fufore Local Government Chapter Inaugurates Committee On Marriage

The chairman Muslim Council Fufore Local Government chapter, Alhaji Ashiru Gurama has inaugurated twenty-two-man committee to enlighten Muslim in area on the laid down procedure of conducting marriage in Islam.

The committee has Khadi Zubairu Modibbo as chairman while Alhaji Abdul Nasir Umar is to serve as secretary.

In his remark at the event held in Ba’Saidu conference hall Muslim council Fufore, Alhaji Ashiru Gurama described marriage as an important institution in Islam.

He regretted that these days’ marriage ceremonies are conducted not in line with teachings of Islam. He charged the committee to enlighten Muslim parents on the need to conduct marriage according to the tradition of Prophet Muhamad Peace Be Upon Him.

Responding, the chairman of the committee, Khadi Zubairu Modibbo observed some innovation marriages which are contrary to Islamic teachings.

He said programmes such as Dinner party, Fulani day, Kauyawa day, and Mother’s day among others the innovations that are not in line with the teaching of Islam.

Khadi Modibbo called parents of bribe and grooms to cooperate with the committee to ensure marriage are conducted in the area based on Islamic ways.
