In today’s fast-paced business world, staying relevant means embracing technology.

Recognizing this, MTN has launched its ICT and Business Skills Training program, designed to help young entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 boost their businesses with tech-driven strategies.

Over five weeks, participants will learn from industry experts through a fully online program, making it easier than ever to upskill from anywhere.

Who Can Join

To take part in this exciting initiative, applicants must meet a few simple criteria:

  • Age: Be a Nigerian male or female between 18 and 35 years old.

  • Business Ownership: Own and actively manage a small business that has been running for no more than two years.

  • Location: Operate your business in one of the following states: Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Kebbi, Niger, or Yobe.

A Proven Track Record

Since 2018, MTN has rolled out five phases of this program across 16 states, thanks to partnerships with major industry players like Oracle, KPMG, IBM, Digital Bridge Institute, CISCO, Google, Meta, and Microsoft.

The states include Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Borno, Cross River, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kogi, Lagos, Nasarawa, Oyo, and Rivers.

Over 4,000 young entrepreneurs have already completed the program, gaining valuable skills to grow their businesses.

What’s New in Phase 6

The sixth phase is set to reach 3,000 more youths, with Microsoft and Meta leading the training sessions:

  • Microsoft: Participants will explore topics like Entrepreneurship in the Digital Age, ICT for Business Success, and the latest in Generative AI.

  • Meta: Training will focus on building brands and expanding businesses online through the Meta Boost for Small Business initiative.

Program Benefits

MTN ensures participants have a smooth learning experience by providing data for the duration of the course.

On top of that, the top 300 performers will receive an Equipment Grant totaling N90,000,000, giving them the tools to take their businesses to the next level.
