Osun State’s NYSC family is welcoming a fresh face at the helm.
Mr. Kubiangha Ita has officially been appointed as the new State Coordinator, stepping into the role as the 16th person to lead the scheme in the state.
He takes over from Mr. Ndola Agbor, who has concluded his tenure.
Formal Handover Marks the Transition
The change of guard was marked by a formal handover ceremony on Friday at the NYSC Secretariat in Osogbo, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.
The event brought together staff and stakeholders to celebrate the outgoing coordinator’s contributions and welcome the new leadership.
Outgoing Coordinator Reflects on His Journey
In his valedictory speech, Mr. Agbor described his time in office as fulfilling and rewarding.
He credited the achievements during his tenure to teamwork, a sense of shared responsibility, and a steadfast commitment to the core values of the NYSC scheme.
He also encouraged NYSC staff to maintain professionalism, uphold integrity, and continue working together to support the incoming coordinator, emphasizing that these qualities are vital for the ongoing success of the scheme in Osun State.
New Coordinator Sets the Tone
Taking the podium, Mr. Ita expressed gratitude for the warm reception and for the groundwork laid by his predecessor.
He stressed the importance of transparency, cooperation, and strong teamwork among NYSC staff as essential tools for driving the program forward.
Mr. Ita also addressed the corps members in Osun, encouraging them to remain dedicated and diligent in their assignments.
He reminded them that hard work does not go unnoticed, and that the legacy of their service would stand the test of time.
