Millie Bobby Brown is stepping into motherhood in a big way, sharing a glimpse of the new addition to her family for the first time.
The 21-year-old actress, best known for Stranger Things, gave fans a peek at her adopted baby girl in a recent Instagram post, alongside her husband Jake Bongiovi.
A First Look on Labor Day
On Monday, which coincided with Labor Day in the U.S., Brown posted a carousel of photos from a recent outing.
Among them, one image featured her baby girl snuggled in a carrier, held by Bongiovi as they walked across the tarmac to board a private jet.
While the baby’s face wasn’t visible, fans got a sense of the little one’s presence tucked safely under blankets.
The Surprise Announcement
The couple first revealed the adoption on August 21.
Brown’s heartfelt social media post read: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption.
We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.
And then there were three. Love, Millie and Jake Bongiovi.”
Hints had been dropped earlier. On July 20, Bongiovi shared a photo pushing a stroller, captioned by Brown: “helluva summer thus far.”
Fans speculated, but the full picture only became clear with the official announcement.
Plans for a Family
Brown and Bongiovi, who married in May 2024, have long discussed having children and starting a family.
Earlier this year, Brown opened up about her desire to become a mother during an appearance on the SmartLess podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett.
She explained that motherhood has been important to her since childhood: “My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19.
Since I was a baby… I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me.
And my nan, my grandmother, was a huge part of my life.”
Balancing Career and Family
Brown shared that she is eager to continue building her career while also embracing parenthood.
“I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it so important to start a family for me personally,” she said.
She added that she and Jake share the same vision for a loving, open home: “The door is always open, and we want everyone to feel really comfortable.”
Love and Unity in Their Relationship
The couple has been deliberate about aligning on major life decisions.
Brown told Vanity Fair in February that she and Bongiovi are “pretty united” on topics like family, home, careers, and values, ensuring their choices feel right for both.

Brown and Bongiovi’s romance began in 2021. They announced their engagement in April 2023 and tied the knot in May 2024 in an extravagant ceremony at Villa Cetinale in Tuscany, Italy.
