It’s been a whirlwind summer for Michelle Keegan, but the actress made sure to carve out some downtime this past weekend.
Swapping filming schedules for festival vibes, she joined her husband Mark Wright and her rarely-seen brother Andrew for a lively day at BBC Radio 2 in the Park in Chelmsford.
A Day of Music and Drinks
The 38-year-old former Coronation Street star soaked up the atmosphere at Hylands Park, where Bryan Adams headlined the show.
Michelle shared her day on Instagram, posting snaps of her cider and vodka sodas in hand as she enjoyed performances from Marti Pellow and Ronan Keating before closing out the evening with Adams’ set.
Calling it a “bucket list moment,” she admitted the Canadian rocker gave her “goosebumps from start to finish.”
Fans got to see her playful side too, as she captioned a selfie with Mark: “Day drinking we can handle [thumbs up].”
Family Time With Baby Palma
The festival trip followed a tender family moment earlier in the week.
Michelle had delighted fans with a photo of herself pushing five-month-old daughter Palma in her £1,200 iCandy pram.
Beaming in a white crop top and denim jeans, she described it as a “special first summer with our girl.”
The post, part of a paid collaboration with iCandy, showed Michelle looking relaxed in suede trainers and glasses as she smiled outdoors.
She joins a growing list of celebrity mums—Molly-Mae Hague among them—who also use the stylish prams.
Hard at Work on a Dark New Drama
While festivals and family outings have kept her spirits high, Michelle has also been focused on a brand-new project.
She is currently filming The Blame, a gripping ITV crime drama based on Charlotte Langley’s novel.
The story begins with the shocking discovery of teenage figure skater Sophie Madsen’s body in the quiet town of Wakestead.
As detectives DI Crane (played by Michelle) and DI Radley (Douglas Booth) investigate, they unravel a dangerous web of lies, police corruption, and systemic failures.
A Strong Cast Line-Up
Michelle isn’t tackling this project alone. She stars alongside Booth, with Line of Duty’s Nigel Boyle playing forensic technician Brett Shergill, and Joe Armstrong taking on the role of skating coach Kyle Frasier.
The cast also includes Ian Hart, Nathan Mensah, Matilda Freeman, Gavin Spokes, Josh Bolt, and Ceallach Spellman.
With so many big names involved, fans can expect a gritty, emotionally charged drama that digs deep into trust, betrayal, and the lengths people will go to keep secrets hidden.
ITV’s Big Bet on The Blame
ITV’s Director of Drama, Polly Hill, has praised the show as one of their most ambitious thrillers yet.
She explained that it not only grips audiences with twists but also addresses real-world issues like misogyny, corruption, and exploitation within the police.
Writer Megan Gallagher, who also penned Wolf and All Her Fault, called the project both “urgent” and “important,” adding that she feels privileged to bring Langley’s world to life.
What Lies Ahead
Between her bucket list festival outing, enjoying her first summer as a mum, and leading one of ITV’s most anticipated dramas, Michelle Keegan is proving she can balance it all — family, fun, and career-defining roles.
