Michael Schumacher’s Family to Take Legal Action Over AI Interview

The family of Michael Schumacher is planning to take legal action against a German magazine that published an AI-generated interview with the seven-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion.

The magazine Die Aktuelle advertised the ‘chat’ with a cover photo of Schumacher, despite him being out of the public eye since a 2013 skiing accident in the French Alps.

The Schumacher family confirmed that they will pursue legal action against the magazine for the ‘deceptively real’ interview, which included no author byline and was dubbed distasteful by his fans.

AI Interview with Schumacher Published by German Magazine

Die Aktuelle’s article spoke about Schumacher’s skiing accident and family life, ending with the admission that the words came from a bot.

Fans of the F1 legend criticized the article’s distasteful nature, with some calling it cruel to his family.

Meanwhile, Schumacher’s wife Corinna has previously stated that the family is doing everything they can to make him feel their bond and protect his private life, as he always wished.

She emphasized that private is private and that it is vital that Schumacher can continue to enjoy his private life as much as possible.

Updates on Schumacher’s Condition

Schumacher’s condition has been kept private since his accident, with few updates being offered in the past decade.

The Netflix documentary released in 2021 revealed that the family lives together at home, doing everything possible to make Schumacher better and comfortable, including therapy.
