According to a royal expert, Meghan Markle will not be reconciling with her family anytime soon as that “ship has sailed”.
The family of the Duchess of Sussex have been very vocal in the media over the years, including in the past week.
They have often criticized Meghan, claiming that she has cut off all ties with them and that she hasn’t spoken to them in years.
Meghan’s father, Thomas, recently said that his daughter “killed me” and “mourned me”. In an interview with 7News Australia, he added that he “refuse[s] to be buried by her.”
During a show on Sky News Australia, Paul Murray addressed the situation and said, “None of us want to get in the middle of the family dynamic here between father and daughter, but it’s pretty rough when you are not willing to ring your dad, even after he has had a stroke.”
Russell Myers, the Royal Editor of the Daily Mirror, agreed that the situation is complicated and noted that there are an awful lot of the Markles speaking out.
He also said that he doesn’t think there is any room for reconciliation as “that ship has sailed.”
Myers further commented that Thomas will continue to speak out because he views that as the only way he can have a relationship with Meghan and his grandchildren.
He added that if Meghan had attended the Coronation, it would not only have been a big distraction but also a challenge for the family and the media.
