Mary Berry Showcases Stylish Tweed Suit for Holland Cooper Icon Series Campaign Celebrating Inspiring Women in the United Kingdom

Mary Berry, usually synonymous with cakes, kitchens, and aprons, showed a very different side of herself in her latest project.

For a campaign with luxury British fashion brand Holland Cooper, the Queen of Cakes traded her whisk for a tweed suit, proving she’s just as commanding in couture as she is in the kitchen.

A Stylish Icon in Tweed

Berry looked sensational in a three-piece tweed suit adorned with gold buttons, perfectly accessorized with a brown trilby hat and a cream neckerchief.

One playful shot even saw her beaming through a pair of binoculars, capturing the campaign’s spirit of confidence and empowerment.

Joining a Cast of Remarkable Women

Mary wasn’t the only star to take part in the Holland Cooper Icon Series.

Broadcaster Clare Balding, model Jodie Kidd, and Irish actress Lisa Dwan joined her for the shoot.

Clare, 54, impressed in a brown suit with a matching long coat, completing the look with a blue shirt and burgundy tie while walking four dogs.

Jodie, 46, opted for a grey tweed jacket and trousers paired with a white shirt and brown tie, and Lisa wore a khaki green suit with a blue-and-white striped shirt left open at the neck.

Celebrating Modern-Day Icons

The campaign highlights inspiring women across food, broadcasting, fashion, arts, and entrepreneurship—recognizing each as a modern-day icon.

Jade Holland Cooper explained, “Our tailoring is about more than just clothing—it’s about confidence, presence, and empowerment.

This campaign honours incredible women like Mary, Clare, Lisa, and Jodie, and allows us to support The King’s Trust in their mission to change the lives of young women across the UK.”

Ten percent of sales from Holland Cooper’s Belgravia Blazer in Westminster Tweed will go directly to The King’s Trust’s “Change a Girl’s Life” campaign, funding programs that help young women gain skills, confidence, and opportunities to transform their futures.

Reflecting on Life and Longevity

Mary, who celebrated her 90th birthday in March, has said she plans a year of boozy celebrations with family and friends.

Speaking to British Vogue, she said, “There will be cake, and champagne.

I’m all for parties.” Fitness-wise, she stays true to her roots, favoring walks and tennis over gyms, following the habits of her mother, Margaret.

Family and Heartfelt Memories

Mary’s personal history has had its share of tragedy.

She and her late husband Paul Hunnings had three children: Thomas, William, and Annabel. William tragically died in a car accident in 1989 at 19, while Annabel survived.

Mary has spoken openly about her grief, saying, “It’s absolutely amazing in my 90th year to think that William died all that time ago.

If he walked in that door over there, I would say: ‘Where have you been?’ It wouldn’t surprise me at all.”

She reflected fondly on the time they shared as a family, noting, “We were lucky to have him, and we got to be a family unit right up until those few hours before he died.”
