Maguire’s Role in United’s Future

Despite the criticism, Maguire is expected to play a key role in United’s remaining matches, especially with the absence of Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane.

United’s remaining fixtures include an FA Cup semi-final against Brighton & Hove Albion and eight more Premier League matches.

Although they are currently third in the league and six points clear of fifth place, their exit from the Europa League means that the FA Cup is their only chance for another piece of silverware this season.
