Mamelodi Sundowns star looking for the exit door!
“At the time he was still at Wits, he was a regular in the Bafana Bafana team but now at Mamelodi Sundowns, he hardly gets call ups because he is not playing.” a source told Citizen.
“Worse, now that there is a new coach who is going with a totally different team. It is the same at Sundowns because the coaches are evolving the team and the older players are getting little or no game time.
“Vilakazi would not mind leaving at the end of the season if the situation does not change,”
Sibusiso Vilakazi is 32-years-old and would undoubtedly add value to a number of top flight teams for at least two more seasons, provided he remains injury free.
The former Bidvest Wits attacker has been hampered by injury during recent seasons at Mamelodi Sundowns. He has made over 130 appearances for the Brazilians thus far.
Vilakazi has lifted the league title on an impressive four previous occasions with the Brazilians and was an integral part of Pitso Mosimane’s devastating Chloorkop side.
