The transfer buzz around Terrence Mashego is heating up as Mamelodi Sundowns decide to trigger the contract extension clause for their left-back.
This comes at a time when Stellenbosch FC is showing strong interest in signing the player, stirring up questions about Mashego’s future at Sundowns.

Mashego, now 29, joined Sundowns in September 2022 and has appeared 45 times across all competitions since then.
But this season has been a tough one for him, featuring in just 13 matches.

Coach Miguel Cardoso seems to prefer other options at left-back.

The continental competition is a big draw and could offer him the playing time and exposure he’s missing out on at Sundowns.
There was even interest from Kaizer Chiefs earlier this year, but their bid wasn’t enough to convince Sundowns to let Mashego go.
