Luxurious New York City penthouse re-lists for $36.6M following price reduction

The expansive Fidi penthouse at the towering 50 West is back on the market for $36.6 million, down from a previous price of $45 million.

The five-bedroom, six-and-a-half-bathroom, full-floor apartment features sweeping views of the metropolitan skyline and the Statue of Liberty, as well as a private elevator landing with two entrances.

The initial entry leads to a formal lobby that connects to the entertainment area and the principal corner bedroom. The second individual proceeds to the private bedroom quarters, family area, and chef’s kitchen.

The 7,137-square-foot home features 70 linear feet of curving floor-to-ceiling curtain-wall windows, a fireplace, a formal dining room, and a home office.

The master bedroom suite in a separate corner wing overlooks the Hudson River and World Trade Center. In addition, there are two dressing rooms and two bathrooms with radiant heated floors, showers, and soaking tubs.

Star architect and interior designer Thomas Juul-Hansen (who created One57’s interiors) designed the kitchen, which has dark-stained walnut cabinets and a butler’s pantry.

The Time Equities-built glass skyscraper is 786 feet tall and contains 186 flats. The indoor and outdoor amenity space exceeds 30,000 square feet. These amenities consist of a “Observatory” with two grills, a 60-foot lap pool, a sauna, a steam room, and a hot tub.
