Wife of the Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Ebelechulwu Obiano says that wife of the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the November sixth governorship election, Mrs. Nonye Soludo shares the same ideology of love that she has for Anambra women and children, especially widows and the less privileged.

Dr. Mrs. Obiano stated this while addressing people from Anambra West and Ayamelum Local Government Areas, as she entered the last lap of her 2021 tour of the twenty-one Local Government Areas in Anambra State.

Correspondent Daniel Ezeigwe reports that according to the Governor’s wife, Mrs. Soludo, just like her husband, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has shown proven zeal to work and has exemplified equal measure of love for widows, children and the less privileged; the same philosophy that defines her charity organization, Caring Family Enhancement Initiative, CAFE.

Insisting that she was certain that her successor would carry on and do  better, Dr. Mrs. Obiano stated that the rest of the job is now left for the Anambra electorate, especially women, to vote for APGA and Professor Soludo in next week’s election or risk handing out the state and its long-run of success into unworthy hands.

Mrs. Soludo in her speech said it is time for the people to vote for the Anambra dream, which APGA represents, assuring that their votes would count.

On her part, the Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, said that the November sixth election would be a defining moment for the state, and urged the Anambra electorate to vote for APGA and its candidate, Professor Soludo to actualize the dream of the best Anambra State.

In their separate remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Sylvester Orji-Okafor and his Ayamelum counterpart, Barrister Benjamin Onyeabo said that the effects of the local governments tour over the past seven years have been massive, noting that the governor’s wife has set an established charity blueprint that her successor cannot afford to overlook.

The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uchenna Okafor was represented at the event by the member representing Onitsha South, Constituency Two, Honourable Beverly Ikpeazu-Nkemdiche.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Liaison, Barrister Vera-Queen Okonkwo, and the wife of the national chairman of APGA, Mrs. Mary Oye among others were equally present at the event.

As usual, the governor’s wife gave support to widows, indigent women and children, aged people and the physically challenged from the two local government areas.
