Lewis Hamilton shares hopeful update as his French bulldog Roscoe recovers from pneumonia while staying by his side through a turbulent Ferrari season

While Lewis Hamilton has been navigating the highs and lows of his debut season with Ferrari, things off the track took a worrying turn earlier this month.

Fans weren’t just concerned about his racing results—they were also sending love and support for his beloved French bulldog, Roscoe, who was battling pneumonia.

Now, there’s finally some good news for animal lovers and Hamilton fans alike: Roscoe is recovering well.

A Bond That’s Bigger Than Racing

Hamilton’s connection with Roscoe goes far beyond the usual pet-owner relationship.

The seven-time Formula One world champion has had Roscoe since 2013 and often brings him along on race weekends.

Whether it’s paddock strolls, private jet selfies, or lazy hotel naps, Roscoe is always by Lewis’s side.

So, when Roscoe fell ill earlier this month, it hit Hamilton hard—especially as it came during a turbulent start to his time with Ferrari.

Despite scoring his first win for the team in the sprint race in China, he’s been struggling to find consistency this season.

Trainer Shares Positive Health Update

Roscoe’s trainer, Kirstin McMillan, recently gave fans a much-needed update on Instagram, saying the pup is nearly back to full strength.

“Hi guys! For those asking: Roscoe is nearly fully recovered,” she wrote.

“Haven’t been posting our silly adventures because he’s been with his dad, so his dad will be the one with the updates, guys.

Just know he’s been looking well and recovering really nicely, thankfully.”

It was a relief for followers who had been anxiously awaiting any news on the bulldog’s condition.

Holistic Healing and Round-the-Clock Care

Kirstin had previously opened up about the treatments Roscoe was receiving, revealing that he had been taken to a vet who practices integrative medicine—combining both Eastern and Western techniques.

“She’s a real vet,” Kirstin explained in a previous Instagram post, “she went to Davis and everything, but she also trained in holistic methods, Chinese medicine, acupuncture and things like that.”

That day, Roscoe was given a high-dose Vitamin C IV drip as part of his supportive care, along with acupuncture sessions and strong antibiotics prescribed for pneumonia.

It’s clear that Roscoe has been getting some serious TLC.

Fans Send Love as Roscoe Bounces Back

Roscoe has a fan base of his own, thanks to his regular appearances on Lewis’s social media, and news of his improving condition has brought plenty of joy online.

While he hasn’t made a full return to the spotlight just yet, fans are eager to see the pup back in the paddock soon.

With Roscoe recovering and Hamilton still fighting to find rhythm on the track, hopefully things are now looking up—both on four paws and four wheels.
