Police Activity at Sturgeon’s Home
Police activity continued outside the Glasgow property of former first minister Nicola Sturgeon and her husband Peter Murrell, following Murrell’s arrest in relation to the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) funding and finances investigation.
Uniformed officers were stationed outside the couple’s home and a blue police tent remained in the front garden of the property. Police have been seen using spades, looking through storage units, and lifting tarpaulin covering a barbecue in the back garden.
Inside the Detached Property

Aside from the questions about the nature of the police probe, speculation also abounds about the inside of the detached property.
Reports have emerged of an eye-popping portrait of Ms. Sturgeon in a short red dress, black suspenders, and holding a whip, which was gifted to her by her husband.
An expensive coffee machine was also pictured on the kitchen worktop, and framed pictures of the couple were seen on windowsills. Ms. Sturgeon has revealed that the neatness of the property should be credited to Mr. Murrell, who cleans the house.
SNP Investigation

The police search is part of an ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the SNP, of which Ms. Sturgeon was party leader and Mr. Murrell was chief executive until last month.
The investigation focuses on the spending of about £600,000 earmarked for Scottish independence campaigning.
Arrest of Mr. Murrell
Mr. Murrell was released from custody last night after being questioned by detectives following his arrest at 7.45 am yesterday. Plainclothes officers were seen entering and leaving the couple’s house, with one carrying two large rolls of bubble wrap.
A uniformed officer was spotted wearing white protective foot coverings, while other officers could be seen carrying them after leaving the house.
Conclusion
The police activity in front of Ms. Sturgeon’s home has created a frenzy of speculation about what the police might be looking for. The nature of the ongoing SNP funding and finances investigation has added to this speculation.
The search inside the property has also aroused curiosity about the former first minister’s private life.
